Women Bloggers Choose Blogs Over Booze! Would you?

A recent BlogHer poll found that 55% of women bloggers would give up alcohol for blogging.  Yet another testament to the addictiveness of the blogosphere.

Me?  Arggggg…I think I would have to say…booze.  But I would definitely fall off the wagon.

OK, Dog Art Today readers and fellow bloggers, which would you give up, blogs or booze?

P.S. View a very interesting interview about women bloggers with Jory Des Jardins, BlogHer founder, on BuzzLogic's blog.

Sorry blog, you’d have to go!

My blog would be nothing without booze to fuel it.

Very interesting. I have never tried B.U.I.-ing…perhaps I should liven things up.
Maybe we could have blogger happy hour on Fridays.
    I’m serious.

of course, I’d give up the blog. I also have the added convenience that I’m blogging on someone else’s behalf. I am available to drunk blog in dana’s page any day. Hell, it’s not my blog. I just write everything on it.

Maybe when Dana can have a cocktail we should drunk blog.

    Buh-bye, blog!

Wendy, you would definitely fall off the no-blog wagon. You would have a secret iphone hidden in your sock drawer. Or you’d make up excuses to go to the library to “research” something and oooops suddenly find yourself posting about butt bows and Coco!
You’ve got a monkey on your back girl! Don’t kid yourself.

There is nothing nicer than a cold glass of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

haha How many men would give up drinking for their blog, though? (Besides myself, I mean, ’cause I gave up drinking years and years ago!) I imagine how much traffic your blog gets might be a factor as well.
I’m about everyone blogging (or at least being free to). It would be great if we had more voices coming out of the Middle East, China, etc. Some day the whole world will blog (or something akin to it).
    lol@”I’m serious,” Moira.

Patrick – I wonder about men bloggers too. I also wonder about the fact that making money is not one of the top 3 reasons women give for blogging. And the fact that many women feel guilty about putting ads on their sites.
While I bet most men blog to make money. Although, I’m not sure you do. I’m talking about all the dudes at ProBlogger.com.
There is something to study about the different psyche of men and women as it relates to making money that is manifest in blogging — IMO.
Choosing my blog over booze came down to the fact that I blog every day, but I don’t drink every day or every week. Also, since I work alone, blogging is my new “social lubricant.” Probably if I didn’t blog, I would HAVE to drink.
I am like you. I think everyone should blog and I probably get a little annoying in a “come to Jesus” way as I try to spead the “Good news” of blogging too.
    : )

I gave up drinking (mostly) at the beginning of July as part of my new food plan (it’s not a diet). So I’ve already made the choice…
