Goodbye Big Tommy

Tribute to Big Tommy by Rebecca Lansdowne-Collins, 2010

I never met Big Tommy, but I have been a longtime admirer of the artwork he inspired in Rebecca Lansdowne-Collins.  Last night she said goodbye to her Scottie muse, whom she describes as "the most photogenic pup we ever had.  The camera loved his big ears."

I am so sorry for your loss, Rebecca and Dan.  I hope that each day becomes a little easier, and that soon these photos bring you more joy than heartache.  Big Tommy was a lucky dog to be in a family with the talent to capture his essence so beautifully.  Rest in peace, sweet boy.

Rebecca's work can be seen at Art Paws.  Her always inspiring blog is Art Dog Blog.

Thanks so much Moira. He was a very special boy, the loss will be a hard one. It is always tough when the Alpha goes, the other pups are left behind wondering what next? We will all figure it out in good time. I am happy for fall and being able to break up the old routines with long walks at the lake, and yes each day will get easier. Thank you for this sweet tribute for my big boy.

Hi Peter – Thanks for stopping by Dog Art Today and leaving a comment. As a beginning gardener myself, I found your blog terrific. I was thinking of downloading your free info. Would it apply to a California gardener. It looks like you are in England. Best regards, Moira

Thanks, Linda, but I can’t take credit for the images. It is Rebecca’s creation. I just added a credit for her to the post. BTW, I am loving your abstract work. So inspiring to see you push in a new direction. Really beautiful.
