Another Satre Stuelke Dog

Doggy-med

Artist-turned-medical-student Satre Stuelke emailed me to let me know he CT scanned another dog.  Here’s his description:

This is a CT scan of a wind-up mechanical dog made mostly of plastic.
The main spring of the driving mechanism is the donut-shaped red circle
in the very center of the dog. An elegant girder-shaped lever rises
from the gearbox to operate a cantilever that opens and closes the
dog’s mouth.

Visit his website Radiology Art to see more of his beautiful scans of everyday objects.  Click here to read about him in The New York Times.  And here to see my previous post.

Simply brilliant.

I LOVE this and also the other pics on his site! Who would have thought! Guess he will never be able to drop out of school to be an artist though. How on earth would be he able to afford a CT scanner of his own! 😉
