  • Another Satre Stuelke Dog

    Artist-turned-medical-student Satre Stuelke emailed me to let me know he CT scanned another dog.  Here’s his description:

    This is a CT scan of a wind-up mechanical dog made mostly of plastic.
    The main spring of the driving mechanism is the donut-shaped red circle
    in the very center of the dog. An elegant girder-shaped lever rises
    from the gearbox to operate a cantilever that opens and closes the
    dog’s mouth.

    Artist-turned-medical-student Satre Stuelke uses a CT scanner to penetrate the metal, plastic or organic interiors of pop objects and foods.  He aims to ask people to “think about how things are constructed.”
