Las Bebidas is artist Carrie Schneider’s interpretation of Diego Velazquez’s Las Meninas, often called the best painting in the Western world.

Carrie Schneider’s work is on view at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art until January 3, 2010.  More information here.

P.S.  I especially like this post because it spans three centuries of dog art, 17th, 20th and 21st.
