I haven't been, but I've heard great things about the National Museum of Animals & Society in Los Angeles.
If you're in the East Hollywood neighborhood, stop by their new exhibition Dog Cat Mouse featuring the works of Erika Carter, Heather Mattoon, and Virginia McCraken. The show, curated by artist Rafael Perea de la Cabada, opens Saturday, Augut 9 with a reception from 7 – 9 pm.
It's free and open to the public. A portion of the sales will benefit spcaLA, an organization that rehomes dogs, cats, mice, and other animals in need.
