Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!

Family_drawing_blog wp_IMG

44 years ago when you walked down the aisle could you have envisioned the cast of characters you would create?  Some days, I bet you still can’t, especially now that the next generation has come along to blow all our minds!

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy Anniversary! Just this morning Layla “blew our minds” when she said her arms were “all sprinkle-y”…she had goosebumps! Too cute. Have wonderful day.

Awwww! I love that. I’m going to use “sprinkle-y” too!

Mom & Dad look so smart in their specs. Are you a twin? Private school dresses maybe?

Kathleen is two years older than me and a bit taller. We are wearing our Catholic school uniforms. I had a bit of trouble with scale in those days. Sheila is older and taller than Regan, who is the youngest. But Sheila was more frail than Regan, so, in a way, conceptually it works : )
And yes, my parents are super smart, IMHO.

Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad! Thanks for saying “I do” and making this wonderful family. I think I’m feeling “sprinkle-y!”
A cast of characters indeed. I think I actually remember this Moira masterpiece. We aren’t twins but when we were little we used to wear matching outfits and nightgowns!
ps. Can we take this as definitive proof that Regan did indeed keep her “pashi” on a piece of purple yarn? Not that there’s any thing wrong with that!

I love that sheila is in her darla dress and I’m in the osh kosh overalls. Yes, it is yet more proof that I wore that thing around my neck. I survived, so it’s all good. I think I did actually have more mass than sheila did at quite a young age. Maybe not height, but I took up more space. Love Mom’s shag too.
Happy Anniversary! Thanks for making a great family!
    Love,

I totally can picture Regan’s blue corduroy overalls. And Mom’s hair is fabulous, so Jane Fonda in “Klute.” The kind of shag Sally Hershberger “invented” for Meg Ryan and charges $600 for now.
Thanks everyone for your comments 🙂

I don’t know where sally hershberger gets off with that. It was SO not her invention. We have proof with our trend setting mom. I wish I had the rainbow bikini. Hmm. Mom, is that still in the attic drawer?
    Love you guys.

Happy anniversary, Uncle Mac and Aunt Kit!
Moira, what’s startling is how good these portraits are — if you’d shown me those pictures of your mom and dad when we were kids, I’d have recognized them immediately as Mac and Kit.
