Time to brag about Art from Ashes’s co-owner Jane Giat’s husband. Daniel Giat was nominated for an Emmy last week for Best Writer of a Movie or Miniseries for HB0’s Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee. It’s so fun to kind of, indirectly know someone who’s nominated. Congratulations and good luck! The Emmys air September 16 on Fox at 8pm.

I have seen the film, which is very powerful and offers real insight into Native American history as it happened, without the convenient whitewashing to which we have always been accustomed. If it took until 2007, at least it has finally been presented. If you have not already seen the film, you should.
As for Daniel and the dog world: I would humbly like to offer congratulations as well, from beyond, from the truly one-of-a-kind dog he knew long before his current love for standard poodles.
