Sometimes dog art is too idealized. It misses the naughty nature of our pets. That's why I think Colleen Rudolf's Markings series is so refreshing. She captures dogs being bad, and somehow that badness is magnificent.
Colleen is also an accomplish portrait artist. See her dog paintings inspired by her work at the PSPCA animal shelter in Philadelphia.
