I discovered photographer Henry Horenstein’s work through Dana Berenson and her Stonecrop Gallery in Cape Neddick, Maine.  Today marks the opening of Stonecrop’s month-long exhibition featuring selections from several different bodies of Horenstein’s work including Creatures and Humans

So I thought it fitting to feature Horenstein’s magnificent book Canine today.   His photographs truly give you a new perspective on dogs.  Dana calls Horenstein "a New England treasure."  I would substitute the word "National."  Good luck with the show, Dana!

  • Dana Berenson: La Muse Photography

    Boxerrun

Boston photographer, Dana Berenson, has figured out the impossible, capturing a dog at full run. We all know that look, the unbridled joy of racing around the yard or returning with the ball. I always thought it was ephemeral. Dogs are too quick to get the action and the expression on film. Dana proves me wrong. Visit La Muse Photography to see more of her wonderful work with pets and people and if you’re in Cape Neddick, Maine this summer, stop by her Stone Crop Gallery.
