Boxers rank number 7 as the most popular dog breed in the U.S. My mother grew up with a Boxer named Lance. Legend has it that Lance bonded immediately with my father when he came calling and helped pave the way for their courtship. I have always had a fondness for Boxers. Since, in a way, Lance paved the way for me (and my sisters) too.
