Remember back in August when I was obsessed with the collages of Paris based artist Matthew Rose? Well he’s back with an interesting new project, a children’s book entitled Mr. Rose’s ABC Book.
“The 32-page, full-color book features original gouache paintings and poetic tongue-twisters that follow the alphabet from Arnold the annoying Airplane to (tough and dumb) Luck, to Nero the Nail (he lives in a wall in Mister Rose’s house) to the yackety Ying-Yangs and finally, Zoe the zaftig Zebra.”
Of course D is for Ditzy, the deaf-as-a-doorknob dog.
This looks like a perfect gift for kids or all ages, especially since the author will sign and dedicate the book for you. That makes it more than a children’s book. That makes it a work of art.
