Dog Art Today favorite Matthew Rose (remember when I couldn't stop posting his dogs) just opened a new show in Berlin. A Kick in the Kunst at Gallerie Rossella Junck is "an exhibition of exhaustion that touches upon sex, science, identity, language, history, war, love, suburbia, writing, and death." Dogs also make an appearance, as in the collage above.
If you can't get to Berlin, view the show online and see if you don't find yourself more exhilarated than exhausted by Rose's ability to deftly remake Da Da in his own image and likeness –- that of an uninhibited ex-pat in 21st century Paris. I know I casually throw the word "brilliant" around sometimes, but this time I mean it. Really!
Show runs until July 26, 2008
P.S. Japanese Pop Art fans will be interested in Rose's take on it here.
