How funny. I did a similar painting years ago based on the Sleeping Gypsy for my friend Susan after her dog died- I titled it “Know That You Are Blessed, Susan”.
That was before I realized I was going to make dogs the subject, but the painting helped lead me there.
How cool. This painting clearly resonates with artists and those who sleep with animal.s
