Music Credit for Birthday Video

Van_morrison_veedon_fleece

Several people emailed me to ask what music I used for my Mom’s birthday video.  It is Van Morrison’s “In the Garden” which can be found on the album “No Guru No Method No Teacher”
(NOT “Veedon Fleece”, above, which I posted because of the gorgeous Irish Wolfhounds.)

This
is the album you want.

And you can listen to the song here…

Van Morrison is from Northern Ireland.  My grandfather, who took the photos of my mother and her dog, was from Ireland and he had a history with the independent movement (war) that I am not 100% clear on.   I made a decision to bring the two sides of the conflict together for the video.  I hope my grandfather wouldn’t be appalled.  Thank you for all your comments.   I am glad you liked it.

I featured my Irish grandparents on St. Patrick’s Day a few years ago.   Here is that post.

You want Veedon Fleece, too. And have you ever listened to “Redwood Tree” about a boy and his dog — one of my favorite Van Morrison songs ever —

Hi Elizabeth – I had never heard Redwood Tree. You inspired todays post and a few tears…

I am not sad, really. But the tall pines can do this to a person. I never knew.
