Yoko Ono says John Lennon was a cat person, but he got his son Sean a dog for Christmas in 1980.  Sadly, John Lennon was murdered on December 8 and never lived to be a dog person.  Nevertheless, in honor of their pet, Ono decided to raise money for the Washington Animal Rescue League last weekend with an exhibition of John Lennon's artwork.  The show, which feature's sketches of the former Beatle's daily life, entitled "In My Life," will continue on to other cities and contribute to different charities in each city.

I couldn't find a photo of Sean Lennon's dog, but I found this photo of John a couple dogs.  Looks like a Dachshund and maybe a Corgi to me.  Anyone know the breed?  Curious.

    I’ve read an article saying that john Lennon was a cat person. In fact, when John and Cynthia lived together, they had ten cats! Anyway, it just goes to show that John is a great love and peace ambassador to everyone; and everyone means people, animals, and the environment.     Joh nhad a dog too type in John Lennon dog photo on google- also there is a you tube vidoe in 1968 john & paul in a meeting with john petting his dog
